Honest vendors for your wedding
Hello to all…………. just participated in a bridal show last weekend and found that there are more than twice the vendors that normally attend these shows. What’s happening is that due to the current economic situation, lots of people are trying to get into the wedding business. Bride and Groom’s beware, please!!! Don’t believe for a second that price is the only thing you should be paying attention to. These are the things I tell my bride and grooms to look for.
#1. Meet the vendor that is actually going to perform the service for you……… not the middle man or anyone else. If you feel that you would like to do business with them, check their references!!! A legitimate vendor will never oposse giving you references.
#2. Meet with at least three vendors of any one type prior to making your final selection. Compare apples to apples and don’t ever take your price quote from one vendor to another. Vendors that work off of someone else’ pricing are not being honest with their work.
#3. Once you’ve decided on a vendor…….. book them!! so many times couples get tied up and forget to book a vendor and when they are ready……….. they are no longer available.
#4. Research!!! in this technology era it is so easy to research information to create your dream wedding.
#5 Get the groom and your court involved… they actually will be so much more grateful and appreciative the day of the wedding as they see it all unfold!!
#6. Get a wedding planner if your wedding is over 60 guests. I have seen many couples spend thousands of dollars on a wedding to just have it unravel the day of and you don’t get a second chance to make it right!
#7. Most importantly stay balanced and focused so that this process doesn’t overwhelm you and the day of your wedding you just want it to be over instead of looking forward to your magical wedding taking place!
